Large Septarian Heart
These beautiful Septarian Hearts display exquisite patterns. Septarian was formed in an ancient sea floor over 50 million years ago. Unlike most geodes which are of volcanic origin, Septarians are sedimentary. The yellow center is formed by calcite crystals which are framed by brown aragonite crystals.
Please Note: Septarian often has small natural occuring cavities called vugs. They are not defects but actually add to the value and beauty of the stone.
These stunning Septarian hearts are from Utah and measure 2 to 2 1/2” across at the widest part, 2 3/8” Long and 1 3/16” thick.
